Dr Camp is so thorough and gentle! I used to fear going to the dentist, but no longer! He did a root canal and I was so afraid because of all the horror stories I had heard. I was so pleasantly surprised to feel NOTHING!!!! In fact, I actually fell asleep during the procedure and had absolutely NO pain after the local wore off!! I would give him and Dr Junco 20 stars if possible!

Clean and good environment, good customer service. I have been going there for the past three years. However, for my first time doing a filling; they didn’t check my vitals signs, and no good explanation about the medication was given. So, when the Doctor injected the medication, my heart rate went panting and I was so scared!! After asking a question, that’s when I got a better explanation. Overall a good place but you all need to work on explaining procedures and doing your assessment first.

Dr. Junco is the best dentist I’ve ever had. And I’m 69 so I had a Lot of dentists!

As a new patient, will you have to take Dental X-rays?

Charlotte Progressive Dentistry | Aug 25, 2022
Charlotte Progressive Dentistry | Aug 25, 2022

Yes. We cannot accept new patients without Dental X-rays because the Dentist cannot determine the type of cleaning needed by just looking inside your mouth. Bone loss can occur between the teeth due to gum disease and the only way to see that problem is with X-rays. Also smaller cavities in between the teeth or infection cannot be seen without X-rays. We will accept X-rays from a different office as long as they are less than a year old and of good diagnostic quality.

At what age do you start seeing children?

Charlotte Progressive Dentistry | Oct 25, 2019
Charlotte Progressive Dentistry | Oct 25, 2019

We start at 1 years old. The first visits you should expect to see the dentist to discuss nutrition, trauma, tooth eruption and oral hygiene. Your child may not be professionally cleaned until he/she is fully comfortable with us and our dental setting. Some times, we do refer to a pediatric office.

my husband went thru throat cancer with radiation/chemo we had is teeth checked before any procesures and all was good now he has issues with saliva and dry mouth and has lost two teeth. and medicare is saying they aren't responsible

Hi Sandy. Thank you for your comment. Dry mouth and saliva issues are very common following radiation to the head/neck. It is very important for him to maintain excellent oral care at home and keep up with regular recall visits to his dentist. Sometimes extra fluoride treatments are needed as well. Unfortunately, it is rare for Medicare to cover dental related issues, even when they seem to stem from a medical issue.
