I came in to get my e-bike crank bearings replaced and before I knew it I had the bike up in a rack and with the guidance of a very helpful and experienced tech I did all the labor myself... After about 45 minutes I installed a new crankshaft barring assessmbly and it only cost me $21.00 in parts... The staff are great and knowledgeable... We are very fortunate to have them in our community...

Can’t recommend this place enough!! Extremely kind staff and great deals on bikes. Thank you for helping my family with bikes for their first burn!

A new tube is around $6 and we have good used tires for around $5-10 per and new tires are around $15-30 per tire depending on which you chose.
Absolutely, we'll work on trikes (we have some for sale right now). We work on everything bike related, except the electrical parts of e-bikes, anything else is fair game!
Yes, we can show you how to repair your bike or build a bike. Public workstations are $5/hour to access our tools and mechanics, and free Wednesday 10 am - 1 pm and the second Saturday of the month from 10 am to 5 pm. We also provide a 9-week bike repair class for our members. Become a member today: https://renobikeproject.org/become-a-member/
You could even build a cheap bike at that place.
No trades, donations only. Thanks.
It depends on the amount of work needed on your machine. You pay by the hour for a workstation with all the tools you need and the guidance of an expert. If I had to guess, you're probably looking at about $15 for a general tune-up
Absolutely LOVE this place!! Some of the employees/mechanics don't always know as much as they think they do,(but actually, most of them do!) so when I ask for a part, and I know they're wrong I will politely listen to what they say, and ask if I could go and take a look anyway and I usually find what I'm looking for. I used to be a bicycle mechanic many moons ago, and tho I've been out of the industry for a while, and I don't know everything, I do know quite a bit. They have never given me any faulty info, and in the course of me working on my bike there, I have never heard them give any other customers bad information either. I have found them to be extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I believe this place makes cycling and especially bike maintenance more affordable to the average person. Worst case scenario, u might learn something new! Well done gentlemen!! Keep up the good work!
The steps we have taken include: - Not allowing any customers into the store without a mask and use of hand sanitizer; mitigating face to face or surface opportunities for transmission - Only serving our customers through our new walk-up window or one at a time in our shop, while keeping a minimum distance of 6 feet between customers and staff - Mandating all staff must wear masks, protective eyewear, and gloves while working in the shop, as well as taking temperatures daily - Only utilizing 3 staff members per shift with minimum social distancing of 6 feet being observed (more than achievable in our 5,000 sq. ft. shop) - All volunteering, community service, and public workstations are currently suspended.
We have new and used bike trailers, and we're able to order items if we don't have them in stock. Definitely come to us before walmart for bike stuff!
We have two trikes for sale right now. Just visit to check out our bikes for sale!
Best community bike center I have ever seen, but not sure about rentals, call them.
We are a low cost resource.
We could make you one out of any adult bike by taking the pedals off! Not sure about where to buy.
Hay, Richard, I volunteer at the RBP from time to time. I know ASL. If you need help let me know. It's a great place and even better people.
Basically, you visit the shop and roll the dice on whether you get assisted by someone who understands customer service and is willing to help you, answer questions, and ring up your transaction OR get someone with antisocial personality disorder who vaguely points in a direction and acts irritated that you interrupted their hipster dis session about the last customer who dared approach them. It's about 50/50 on what you get.
Contact the shop directly. Using this venue accesses the general public who are willing to share knowledge. Anyways, Reno Bike Project sells all sorts of used parts.
We sure do
Yes. $2.
Sorry, we cannot pick up your donation. If you can get it to us we are happy to accept any bike-related items. We can issue a tax-deductible donation receipt!
I'd check their website or just call them but I'm pretty sure they have some sorts of programs to help out. I do know they refurbish donated bikes, making them mechanically sound and selling them for a reasonable price.
