I had a great time with my husband and my parents. We ended up sitting out our afternoon hunt because of the heat but still left with plenty of meat for us. The food was great and the staff was awesome. The honey hole was definitely worth it. After they bait your blinds on the night hunts expect to see a ton of deer and cows before the pigs come. But I personally enjoyed seeing all the "exotics". Our cabin was clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning and shower. I just thought the upgrade to the cabin was a little pricey. All in all great first trip to Texas!

This was my second time coming to Independence Ranch. Both times were great. This visit I brought my niece for her graduation present. We both had an amazing time. Her first time hog hunting and her #1 hog weighted 196lbs. The look on her face the whole time was priceless. The entire staff is awesome. Always helpful, pleasant and patient. Safety is the overriding factor in everything, I have all the confidence in their protocols. The cabin was more than I ever expected. More than spacious for two people. Very beautiful inside and out. The food is excellent as always. This was, an all around, great experience. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for letting my niece and I make memories that will last a lifetime.

Great hospitality, Wonderful food, And great hunting, It's a rustic working ranch, Has everything you need there, And by the looks of it it's going to be making improvements to even make it better. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful, Special thanks to Steve and Paul. Answered all of our questions, Like Paul always says look at the frequently asked question section, It will really clarify a lot of things

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our 1 day hog hunt. Even though the ranch was technically closed they still allowed us, along with several others to come experience a Texas hog hunt for the day. Steve was great and made sure all groups were spread out and ran us through everything. The morning we sat in the blind and in the afternoon we set out on foot and saw so many hogs (along with a variety of other animals). We came home with 2 coolers full of meat and had an amazing time from start to finish. We cannot wait to come back to Texas and specifically Independence Ranch to do a 3 day hunt. If you're on the fence about doing a hunt, don't be. The staff at Independence Ranch will take care of you from start to finish and ensure you have a memorable and amazing experience.

Yes, you can add your 9 yr. old for $100 with no additional staff fee. The 12 yr. old is $299 + guide/staff fee. You can add your buddies for $299 ea. Thanks'
Definately. But its BYOC. Bring your own coolers. HEB or WalMart are your best bets here in Texas. Academy Sports will rip you off.
No you can not !!! Its fifty bucks minimum so don't shoot a bunch you can't pay for !!!!
I have hunted there 9 times in 8 years. For me the 1100+ miles one way is worth it. Always come home with meat.
Plenty of hogs. Trapped on real ranches and released there. Save your money and hunt a ranch where you spot and stalk. Much better experience. There's one I hunted in La Proy Texas that fun. I'm not a competitor, just a Georgia boy that enjoys a real hunt.
The various prices are easy to find on their website. They make their money by the mandatory processing of the harvested animals. Price for hunt can skyrocket pretty quickly.
There is a mandatory tip of like $100 and got have to buy corn from them.. And then it's $1/pound per animal.. $50 min... My suggestion is to find Somewhere else it's a total rip off.
It will cost you 500.00 dollars for the two pigs plus 100 +corn tip
We can accommodate whatever you’d like to do. Thank you
Yes
Not to hunt. To check out the place because there is a group of us that are interested in coming out there. But we are novice hunters and have plenty of questions about everything
Your not the 1st with this issue. They should have a work around.
That place is strange on their packages, some are all inclusive and some you have to pay a dollar a pound on the hook meaning if you kill a hundred fifty pound hog you will have to pay $150 for the skin the head entrails and get about 50 lb of meat so so you may want to ask them if there is a on the hoof charge
I purposely paced myself and went home with 6. I can not see how you could leave without at least a few in the cooler. Let your cooler size and wallet be your guide as to how many you shoot. Smoking three legs right now for New year's party.
When you arrive there is $100 guide fee. Really they only "guide" enough to get you to stand. After that it's all based on your package limits and how many hogs you harvest. If lack self control or harvest some of bigger hogs you could easily spend well over $1000 in cleaning fees.
$50 for a pig up to 50lbs then $1 per lbs above 50lbs
