Fantastic wildlife refuge with clean/warm restrooms, watering stations for pets and trails to explore.

This is the best camping spot ever. The host, Marianne is very friendly and informative about the area. The pit toilets are the cleanest I've seen.

Meet th camp host Marilyn, a wealth of information. A very kind, and happy person. A rarity these days. This place isn't what I expected. Lots of hiking on trails that are well maintained. If you are any kind of bird watcher you will enjoy this place. The camp sites,15 I believe, are clean, and quite well spaced apart. Loads of privacy. I plan on staying th full 14 day limit mostly because of that. It looks like there are 3 vaulted toilets. From any campsite there is one close by. Obviously cleaned on a regular basis.

You all are a big help thank you. Can't wait to try my luck.
There's available land on the other side of the road that can be improved as additional camping sites but they may lack the funding to expand facilities. It's a shame because it wouldn't be that costly to accomplish. Guess we need to keep pushing congressmen to fund this improvement.
Yes you can camp there currently, I had went last week and there was a couple of people there camping. Its not to crowded so I recommend you really go! Also its worth it since of the views during the day and at night you can see all the stars!
It can get a little windy at times and warm/hot during the day.
Yes, as long as the hunter follows the regulations.
Yes. You can look up rules and regulations on the USFWS website for Pahranagat
They haven't listed one yet. For more information on it visit www.fws.gov
Was there end of July this year, water level was up, all was nice and green.
I would call the rangers station they might be able to help (775) 725-3417
No swimming but you can kayak in certain areas. Stop at the visitors center and they will give you a map with the information

Yes in town there is a RV park about 5 miles away behind the Sinclair station in Alamo
Upper Pahranagat has the most water (at least it did in September).
