Yes you can camp there currently, I had went last week and there was a couple of people there camping. Its not to crowded so I recommend you really go! Also its worth it since of the views during the day and at night you can see all the stars!
I was there 2 weeks ago and people were definitely camping
Not sure if you can now but I've seen people there camping about a month ago.
