It’s a bridge. I don’t know why but but traffic was stopped for 20 minutes straight until let through. Apparently this happens a lot.

Nightmare bridge. This a draw bridge, that currently in service and regularly opens. This strands traffic both ways for an undetermined amount of time, depending upon the size of the ship passing under it on the Delaware River. One lane to New Jersey and two lanes coming g from New Jersey to Pennsylvania. A bridge openings can ruin your day.

A little bit better than the Burlington/Bristol

On October First, 2019 Philadelphia became the first major US city to ban cashless stores (if that answers your question)...
Fee only when coming in to Philly. Free going into New Jersey.
I was stopped in my tracks by an officer and told that I couldn't cross
Drawbridge opens when there is a boat going through. No schedule for that

No they have a designated turn around area. You will not be billed. You will be marked down as a turn around.
There is a texting service that warns of openings in advance. Text tacpal to 888-777.
Text tacpal to 888777 and they will notify you whenever the bridge is about to open.
Upstream side you can walk across. It's closed to certain weather or dangerous conditions. You may walk your bike across as well.
No
Right next to tacony bridge is fishing pier catching stripers with blueberry bagels. Lol and they have bathrooms and picknick tables in the park. Lardners point. Philly side.
It's about 61 to 64 feet. Anything taller then that they have to open the bridge.
