Talk about an easy experience. Everyone I dealt with and I believe I dealt with all of their staff, were professional and friendly. I felt welcomed and valued. The procedure went very well, it was uncomfortable and I think I may have screamed but, I'm a girl. I had been in constant pain for more than six months and off and on for a few years. What a relief. It didn't happen overnight but by the time of my follow up, six weeks later, I was pain free and biking and working out. What a blessing this was to me. Now if only insurance would pay for it! Highly recommend. Worth every cent to have my life back.

What's the success rate of stem cell therapy?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022

Over the past 7 years we've been open, over 90% of my patients get better and by get better, I mean achieve at least 50% improvement in pain and ability to function. A lot of stem cell studies consider 25% improvement to be a success. My patients have to get at least 50% better for me even to consider the treatment of success. And most of my patients get way better than 50%. How do I get such a good result? Well, we do excellent treatment with high-quality stem cells that come from the patient themselves. We use image-guided injection techniques to ensure we're getting the stem cells exactly where they need to go. And I personally examine and evaluate every single patient and every single case look at the x-rays and the imaging or the ultrasound, and make sure you are a good candidate for this treatment. If I catch it early enough, your success rate is extremely good.

What is the best non-surgical treatment for knee pain?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022

Stem cell therapy can actually slow down the progression of arthritis over time and keep the joint from getting worse. It also helps to heal joint damage caused by arthritis and it can improve the pain and the function of an arthritic joint. Steroids and gel shots. Don't do any of that. They may cover up the pain, but arthritis keeps getting worse. So if you want to slow down your arthritis and improve your pain and function, stem cells are the best treatment for knee pain.

What is regenerative medicine? How does regenerative medicine treatment work?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022

All treatments of arthritis just covered up the pain. Cortisone shots, gel shots, and steroids all those things mask the pain but do nothing to affect the progression of underlying arthritis. Regenerative medicine therapy with P R P and stem cells can actually slow down the progression of arthritis and keep it from getting worse. In addition, they can heal joint damage caused by time and gravity. And improve pain and function in many arthritic joints. Over the years, I've kept countless people from having to have surgery and knee replacements or hip replacements or back surgery. Because of our use of regenerative medicine treatment, it really has revolutionized the therapy of arthritis, and it's the future of treating that problem. So if you have these problems, painful joints, difficulty completing activities of daily living. If you've been told you might need a joint replacement someday, don't contemplate surgery until you've tried Regenerative Medicine.

Can stem cells be used to treat arthritis?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Aug 24, 2022

Yes, that's the number one indication for stem cell therapy. Why is it so good? Well up until now, all the therapies we've had for arthritis just cover up the pain like gel shots and cortisone, but stem cells actually decrease tissue damage, improve inflammation, and improve the pain and function in an arthritic joint going forward. It's gonna be the future standard of care for the treatment of arthritis.

Does PRP work for joint pain?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Jul 25, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Jul 25, 2022

The shorter answer is yes. In certain cases, P R P doesn't have stem cells. It's just growth factors. So it works well for very mild cases of arthritis. There are cases of arthritis with minimal damage visible on an x-ray. But if you have moderate to severe arthritis with more serious changes that we can see on an x-ray or an ultrasound, P R P is not strong enough. There are a lot of stem cell clinics around that use P R P for everything for mild cases, it's fine. But for more moderate to severe cases of arthritis, P R P is just not effective therapy. And in those cases, I recommend stem cells.

Dr. James Altizer, our director of stem cell and regenerative therapies, is the only one performing procedures in our office. He has provided thousands of stem cell and growth factor treatments since January of 2016. At NeoGenix, Dr. Altizer is in charge of your case from start to finish.

What are the possible complications from Stem Cell and Growth Factor injections?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Mar 27, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Mar 27, 2022

Any time you penetrate the skin there is a small risk of infection. Our procedures are performed using strict aseptic techniques, so infection is rare, occurring in only about 1 of every 1000 patients as is true with any minimally-invasive medical procedure. Other possible complications include allergic reactions to local anesthetic and bleeding, and both of these are extremely rare. We can even do these procedures in patients who are on blood thinners, provided they can stop the blood thinner for several days beforehand. (Never stop your blood-thinning medication unless cleared by your personal physician to do so.)

Does insurance cover Stem Cell and Growth Factor treatments?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Jan 26, 2022
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Jan 26, 2022

Insurance companies have not yet instituted coverage for stem cell and growth factor treatments, and it will most likely be several years before this happens. Most patients with degenerative arthritis cannot wait that long for treatment if they want to avoid or delay surgery. They need help now. While the stem cell growth factor treatments themselves may not be covered, the following steps of the NeoGenix 5 Step Treatment Process are almost always covered by insurance: The Triple Shot, joint bracing, and joint rehabilitation.

What percent of your patients respond to Stem Cell and Growth Factor treatments?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Dec 27, 2021
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Dec 27, 2021

Since January of 2016, over 94% of our patients have reported the procedure was successful. Like everything else in medicine, stem cell and growth factor treatments may not help everyone. Response to stem cell and growth factor treatments depends on the underlying health of the patient, their baseline level of activity, their weight, and the severity of the underlying problem. In our experience, even patients with advanced degrees of arthritis can benefit from stem cell and growth factor treatments.

How long does it take for stem cell therapy to start working?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Nov 27, 2021
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Nov 27, 2021

With stem cell therapy, you can start to see results in as little as 2 to 12 weeks, with your pain continuing to decrease for up to a year or more!

How long do results last for Stem Cell and Growth Factor treatments?

NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Oct 23, 2021
NeoGenix Stem Cell and Regenerative Therapies | Oct 23, 2021

No arthritis therapy is permanent because there is no way to completely stop the disease of arthritis. Even artificial knee joints last on average 10-15 years before wearing out. You might know someone who has had to have a ‘re-do’ joint replacement. But with stem cell and growth factor treatments our hope is to prevent patients from having to resort to joint replacement surgery or at the very least delay it as long as possible. Medical studies on stem cell and growth factor treatments currently show results can last several years. Dr. Altizer has treated thousands of patients since January of 2016, and the majority of them are still doing well. No, stem cell and growth factor treatments are not a permanent cure for arthritis. There is no such thing, not even with surgery. (And if anyone tells you the results are permanent or a cure you are in the wrong clinic).
