My entire experience was SUPERB. First and foremost, I just had my stem cell injection today, 8/31 and I’ve felt immediate release from more than a year of hip pain due to arthritis. Second I want to thank the ENTIRE staff for their accommodating and educating professionalism. Throughout my process I received friendly smiles and genuine care. I won’t call names because EVERYONE I encountered treated me “FANTABULOUSLY”. You know it’s great when ordinary words can’t explain your experience. A hearty thank you and gratitude to you ALL!

After having struggled with bilateral Achilles tendonopathy for over a year, I discovered Stem Cell Carolina. The PRP treatment I received has provided much relief from chronic pain and difficulty walking. Dr. Ahmad and his staff make you feel like part of their family from the minute you arrive, and guide you through the entire process. If you have pain, don’t hesitate to call them.

Questions & Answers

what is the cost basis for an injection

Stem Cell Carolina | Oct 24, 2018

Honestly depends. Does it require just PRP or STEM CELL & PRP? Size of the joint. Thankfully because we’re using the best Harvest system in the country <5% of our patients require a second injection. An evaluation can determine all of this. Call anytime for a no obligation thorough evaluation. I’ve spent over 20 years listening to patients telll me “my doctor never did an exam like THAT!”. Take care. 704-443-2902

Hello my husband has a torn rotator cuff and we do not have insurance at all. We would be a cash customer how many sessions and how much money before he would be able to see a difference. Thank you

Stem Cell Carolina | Mar 27, 2022

Hi Stephanie, First, we'd do a proper thorough evaluation to determine correlation with your imaging results and the function of your husbands shoulder. We'd need to take account of any involved degeneration to the surrounding tissue to determine whether he'd need just PRP or combination of true stem cell therapy AND PRP. Over 80% of our patients realize improvements within one month. Your first visit is no charge and our office has no "sales people". Any honest facility doing real regenerative medicine would let you know they need to do a proper assessment first to provide answers to all your questions. Due to Dr. Ahmad's fellowship training and the technology we use with our centrifuge system, >90% of our patients only require one injection. You can reach us at 704-542-3988 to set up your consultation. Our website: stemcellcarolina.com Please come with him if possible. A "second set of ears" is always a good thing. Hope to see you soon. - Dr. Schmitt and Dr. Ahamd

Can this be done even after surgery? I have rods ,plates and screws, plus a stimulator and nothing seems to help.

Usman Ahmad | Feb 25, 2022

Hey Sonny, we have successfully treated patients who have undergone previous surgery. However, this depends entirely on the condition being treated and whether or not we think it will respond to regenerative medicine. To determine whether or not you will respond to this treatment, I recommend you schedule an appointment with our office so one of our providers can examine you and provide you with an honest answer.

Stem cell treatments are an innovative alternative to traditional surgery or physical therapy. They work by taking cells from your own body and using them to help heal other parts of your body that are hurting. The new cells you receive during a stem cell treatment replace the unhealthy, damaged tissues in your body with new, healthy ones. Are there any side effects or reactions that I will have to worry about with injections?

Stem Cell Carolina | Oct 23, 2021
Stem Cell Carolina | Oct 23, 2021

Here's a quick list: Short term adverse reactions – the main adverse reaction is pain and discomfort during and after injection. This is because we are stimulating an inflammatory and healing response. It is also possible to develop a low grade fever, body aches, or fatigue. Your own cells and tissues are used which reduces risk for contamination or rejection. Very low risk of infections, DVT, or neurovascular injury. Long term, the only problem that you could encounter is that it is not effective

How many injections will I need? How do you determine this?

Stem Cell Carolina | Oct 23, 2021
Stem Cell Carolina | Oct 23, 2021

The average patient typically requires one treatment. Sometimes a patient will need 2 or 3 treatments. We pride ourselves on using the best known technology thus requiring fewer injections. This is normally assessed at least 6 weeks after the first injection. We usually do not consider a repeat injection if the injection helped completely or did not help at all. A repeat injection may be beneficial in those that get partial relief after the first treatment or if symptoms return after a period of time.
