The trails can be very slippery. If they have them closed off definitely dont try to ride but even if they don't then you should always scout out the trail before hand.

I've heard it's safer/cleaner than any other lake around us. I know people who eat what they catch from Harris lake. But it's probably a good idea to ask someone who works there.

If you go in the main park entrance, the main fishing dock is off the shore in between the pavilions and the entrance to the Peninsula Trail. Very easy to spot.
