From Dana, to the front desk to Dr. Emerson, everyone has been extremely helpful. Dr. Emerson even called me when I called the office over a concern that I had after surgery. He did a great job on my surgery and everyone was very courteous.

I went to Dr. Emerson for FTM top surgery and I’m honestly extremely happy with the results, it’s very masculine looking and the actual surgery itself wasn’t stressful at all. I got there at about 7 am and went home around 11:30, I was in and out practically. On the downside, his staff has CONSISTENTLY misgendered and deadnamed me. If you’re gonna provide trans healthcare, you should at least have the basics down. So while my results are good, if you’re a bit more sensitive to deadnaming/misgendering and it’s more than a mild annoyance to you, I suggest seeking surgery elsewhere.

This was the biggest dissatisfaction and disappointment. The doctor, Dr Butala was only in the room for 4 minutes and 47 seconds. He was suppose to look at my face and do dermatological exam of my whole body. He only looked at my upper back. He decided to take 2 tiny skin biopsies. He used less than 1cc of lidocaine. This was almost a thousand dollars and no one took the time to explain. Needless to say. When it was over I was told to put clothes on and assistant would be waiting to direct me. Well, no one was there. Then when I find my way back to the front. Three people behind computers stared at me. Not one asked can I help you?. Then when the person up front came back. She proceeded to ask for the rest of my deductible with no explanation. Then when I called back to express how upset I was, the office manager proceeded to tell me that I could start all over with a different doctor. Which should have been offered at no charge. Since the first doctor didn’t look at me correctly. I will never go back. If your reading this please don’t go there. To think that the doctor can get away with making you feel so bad about yourself and the office manager can do the same, and the billing department is the worst. I’m disabled and didn’t deserve any of this. My husband didn’t deserve to watch his wife cry all the way home. No one should have to feel this way.

getting implants was going to be a fun and exciting adventure i thought, but turned into a nightmare . felt as though my concerns were never taken seriously as a patient. had to have a corrective surgery due to decisions made by surgeon , and wound up in hospital due to the way the nurse inserted my IV. it has now been two years later after initial surgery , still having complications and unhappy with aesthetic results . i paid in full for each surgery and it seems that's all they cared about , was the money. not the way a patient feels or the fact they are living with the results for the rest of their life . so instead of wasting more time and money here and risking my life yet again for horrific results , i will be having corrective surgery done elsewhere to fix the mistakes of one here .
