Person who answered at this number said it was another department. Not the Labor Board. :(

I dont know why we pay taxes for such department if they dont do their job? I have proofs that helps my case including legitimate messages from my previous employer but they refuse to look at them and have had my case on hold for more than 12 months now for failure to pay wages. Their excuse well the employer sent all they had and they dont see anything wrong. Well duh i started an investigation in the first place against them for lying to more than 6 employees and refused to pay us and they just took their word for it. Once again even thou I have profound proof they just abided by my previous employers word and forged documents and omit all the proved i couldve provided since clearly I have emails and even txt mesages. This department is a joke. Why we have this in this State anyways? We need to close them down and spend those taxes in a working department.

Dept. Of Labor Call or visit them asap
By law YES you can...if you have a problem call or visit the Dept. Of Labor or Labor Board asap.. Dont wait!
I'm not a labor expert but since we live in North Carolina and NC is an "at will employment" state, I am going to have to say no. It is not against the law.
You can file a complaint with the NC Dept of Labor, wage and hour division regarding unpaid wages.
My wife works at the department of labor not me. I will ask her.
