I highly recommend calling Manhattan Carpenter. I needed a wall bookcase installed and I had called another handyman service in the city and they failed to do the job properly. This man is very skilled at his job and knew exactly what to do. He is reliable and dedicated to his clients. I need some future work done in my kitchen and I am definitely going to hire him to do the work.

I called Manhattan Carpenter because I needed some repairs and some modifications for an artist's easel. I knew it wasn't the usual sort of job, and I was concerned about finding someone to do it. Mike understood quickly what I needed and was highly resourceful in completing the job successfully. The results were better than I'd hoped for.

We had the crew come in and do some work to clean up and fix some mistakes left over from our previous, highly-unreliable contractors. We were on a very strict budget, and the pricing came in exactly as expected with no surprises - a rarity among NY carpentry and construction firms - and with quality that easily surpassed the work done by any of our previous contractors. When the time comes for more work to be done, there is absolutely no doubt we'll be working with their crew again. Very highly recommended!

"Do you do more than punch lists?" Thanks for this question; yes! It's all punch-list 😊 ! a) "Do you build lofts?" Yes, including but not limited to: 1 legged lofts, a few steps up (makes pull-out drawer storage possible underneath) to a ladder's height b) "...and maybe when you're here you can take a look at my kitchen drawer? I think it's come off the track". Yes-yes. I do 'large' and 'small' jobs c) "do you do caulking?"; yes. d) "re-glaze porcelain?"; yes, and e) "why is my wood rotted?" f) "do you do electrical work?". On walls yes, behind walls no. g) "do you do plumbing?". No but I will handle that if the job calls for one "you can do my floor.." absolutely: experienced with: vinyl, floating, hardwoods and repairs, staining and refinishing. "Paint" absolutely but also burying wires in walls, plaster repair, high-performance stain and odor blocking shellac. I paint walls, furniture, cupboard doors, unfinished wood & cement hang art decor, television mounts, curtains? yes
