I recently spent time at Kindred Hospital, primarily to receive a 4-week regimen of a daily intravenous antibiotic and an antifungal to treat a liver abscess. My ordeal began at another hospital, St. Peter's in New Brunswick, where I had been through a lot. I was admitted there a few weeks earlier, feeling very ill. Long story short, my gall bladder was removed, I became septic, went into Atrial fibrillation, my kidneys began to fail, I was put on dialysis and an abscess was discovered in my liver. I began to recover slowly and was sent to Kindred for the intravenous liver abscess treatments and was also expected to continue dialysis there. I credit the nephrologist at Kindred, who's name escapes me now, for recognizing that my kidney functions were coming back strong and that dialysis would no longer be necessary. I would also like to give a shoutout to my occupational and physical therapists (hope I have their names right), Charlene, Natalia, Tori and Scott, who helped me to eventually be able to "race" around the halls on my own two feet (without the aid of a net). Further thanks go to all the fantastic nurses and assistants, cafeteria workers (Thanks, Patty!), housekeepers and the maintenance guys, who made some repairs in my room. I want to particularly mention a few of the nurses who went the extra mile caring for me. Nurse Donna was great! She knows how to get things done! I asked Nurse Cheryl if she could mail a letter for me (I'd heard there was a mailbox downstairs) and she offered to go to the post office for me! Nurse Natalia was the first nurse I met when I arrived around midnight and she was very caring and put me at ease. Assistant "Ligi" was very sweet and helped me stay clean and got me whatever I needed. I met many nurses and assistants during my stay and they were overall very professional and caring. I even met the CEO (Andrew?), who seemed to be a very nice guy. I'll close by saying that if you have to be in a hospital, I highly recommend Kindred Hospital!

This hospital provides excellent patient care. I always have received the upmost best quality medical care and attention, and the doctors and nurses are always the sweetest, most caring people. Thank you for doing a great job.

If we have to go to a long term acute care hospital, we wouldn't want to go anywhere but Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ. Staff members have treated us so sweetly and respectfully. What we love about this place is everyone is so positive despite a scary diagnosis or situation and makes us feel at ease. From the very first day we were being taught how to use the vent machine and shown tips and techniques so that we would be able to safely take care of our loved one at home. Staff went out of their way to comfort our loved one when she was uncomfortable or anxious. We trust that our loved one will be in great hands here so when she had to go back to a long term acute care hospital again we chose Kindred Hospital without hesitation. Special shout out to Anne Marie, Shabrina, Eve, Andre, Ben, Edgar, Avalon, Karen, Liji, Jessica, Kim, Dorothy, Rachael, Julie, Yasemin, Kathy, Debbie, Tasneem, Reine, and Laura. We love so many others and the list is too long to write. Thank you so much to everybody at Kindred Hospital.
