A brewery not too far from the subway which makes it pretty accessible by anyone in the city. They have a good selection of beers, none of which are particularly strong but not of which are terrible either. They've got chill music and an overall nice vibe. It's cool to hang out here.

I think they were gearing up for Oktoberfest because they beers were pretty plain, standard German flavors. A good number of people like those, but I am not one of them. I wish they had a fruitier IPA or pale ale while I was there. The view is outrageous though and feeling the wind hit you in seat indoors is wonderful.

It's nice to find a local brewery using local ingredients in their beers. They magnanimoualy permit one to bring a customer their own food if the customer wants to imbibe their beverages. One should try Thomas the Stumbling Buffalo (Barleywine). They also have local ciders, wines, and spirits on sale at their location. Now that spring is back there are some new beers on tap. Among them is Wood Ghost, an applewood smoked ale. There are new members of the lineup that merit exploration. Word on the Street, a black IPA in collaboration with Finback Brewery has a dark brown color with a pleasant astringency. Even though they have a larger facility in Red Hook, this location is still a great place to get drinks. It's an easily accessible location by public transportation.
