Please order the paella. It's incredibly good (probably one of the best that I have had) and reasonably priced. I would say the appetizers are fine but a little expensive given the sizes.

Mediocre to bad experience. Food was okay. Nothing special, and I left unsatisfied. Our waiter was absent for most of the meal. He seemed to be overworked. Still, we had to wait a long time for water, menus, to get our order taken, etc. Stopped coming to our table halfway through the meal, and we were left waterless. Very rushed experience for such an expensive restaurant. Ordered the patates bravas, croquettes, empanadas, calamari. All of it was extremely heavy and oily. Not the best experience. You could not pay me to go back.

Patrick is the best server and bartender in the Triangle. The food was also incredible: if you like spicy, get the Diablo sauce with the wings. The Shrimp is fresh and the flavors on every dish are delicious. Top 3 Tapas: Empanadas (all varieties were incredible), Gambas Anjillos, and a toss up between the Skirt steak and short rib.

Taberna Tapas is a great restaurant with wonderful ambiance and food, but some of our dishes left us a bit disappointed with their value. The octopus and paella was amazing, but the tortilla espanola was quite bland. When almost every dish is $10-12+, I'd expect more robust flavor to never be an issue. Overall this restaurant is an excellent, authentic tapas, where a few of the dishes might leave something to be desired for the cost.
