Disgusting. Windows in first and second rooms were so full of condensation and mold that the views were completely obstructed. Windows were also smeared with food and fingerprints. Room floors had crumbs and were not clean. Small double beds. We are ambassador status and ‘no upgrades’ to anything decent were available. Spoke to Ruben who said he would cancel our reservation and offered points compensation for having to find a new room at the Raleigh Marriott at the last minute. He never followed through with that promise. Would not recommend this hotel and Marriott should take a serious look at this property because there is zero compliance for meeting customer expectations. Avoid like the plague.

I cannot say enough about the staff and the quality of this hotel! From the moment we drove up and were greeted by the valet service…to the gracious reception at check in…to the cookies and fruit that greeted us when we returned from the concert (special shout-out to Brittany 💖) for my birthday…it was perfect! Every hotel should strive to be like this one! We’ll be back soon!

My stay at the Durham Marriott City Center was excellent due to the fantastic customer service I received from Jazz, Brittany, Josh and Kaitlynn! We were there for a dance competition and the hotel was completely booked. Despite the large number of guests present, the staff mentioned above were polite and professional at all times. They went above and beyond to ensure every guests' needs were met. They are an invaluable asset to Marriott. The room was also very nice and clean. We enjoyed eating at the hotel and socializing at the bar. I will not hesitate to stay at this location again. The accommodations were great but the customer service was outstanding. Thank you, Jazz, Brittany, Josh and Kaitlynn!

The hotel it’s self is lovely, newly remodeled. Concierge lounge was decently stocked compared to a lot of places since COVID. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room we were in was clearly partially remodeled but you could see the corners that were cut. We had a corner room and the windows were dirty on the inside which there isn’t a lot that can be immediately done about but the whole point of the corner room is the windows. The bathroom had a new sink and mirrror but they kept the old floors and bathtub which I knew before checking in but don’t care for. The shower curtains freak me out personally and I’m 6’3 and taller than the shower head in these older hotel bathtub/showers. I’m sure the suits and upper floor bathrooms were completed though and it was the only room available I believe. My biggest problem, house keeping. My father is platinum elite and stepfather is ambassador elite both of which include 4pm check out. By 4pm housekeeping came 3 times, coming the first time at 8:30 and just walking in while we were asleep. That’s 3 & 1/2 hours before regular checkout. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that it’s valet parking only at $20. If I have no other option than to valet park then that should be included in the rate, and not everyone wants a stranger driving their car.

There is a parking lot right behind the hotel and convention center. I was there on Saturday, December 1, 2018 and it was free. However, I would double check with the hotel to be sure.
