I travel for a living, and this Marriott huge disappointment. Normally stay Marriott down town Raleigh . This Marriott has Open flat parking lot, with very poor night lighting, and they charge $10 to park. Incredibly. Management Squeezing the dollars. No concierge breakfast, have to eat downstairs at the bar. Asked why, response , Marriott hasn’t started those services yet. I shared, every Marriott I’ve stayed at has Service in the concierge lounge. Response , sir I don’t know about that? Made it to the lounge- I see why the down offer service- it’s only one standard bedroom. Requested a king bed offered me two full. The window hvac unit sounds like it’s falling out of the wall every time it starts up. There are other Marriott properties near by, recommend one of them. Should have drove to either Marriott location in Raleigh.

I had the pleasure to spend the last few days at this hotel as I was in town for a gathering of some old friends from childhood. It was my first visit to North Carolina and I can not imagine staying in a more comfortable or hospitable location. I don't even know where to begin, but I'm going to start with the most important thing- the beds! Wow! Like sleeping on a cloud! I can't recall the last time I had a more restful sleep. The rooms were immaculate and the showers were terrific. I can't say enough about the staff, led by the hotel manager Bill who must be one of the nicest guys in the state! Just a really, really super stay. Thanks so much, Marriott. You nailed this one!!!

The rooms have great decor. Beautiful lamps and nice lounge chairs. The bed is very comfortable. I enjoyed the shower with two shower heads. Nice plush pillows and towels. There is a restaurant and bar pool and Jacuzzi. The bar serves drinks until 1am. The pool is smaller than it looks on the picture. The Jacuzzi could have been cleaner. This really is a beautiful hotel and one of my favorites. I really enjoyed my stay here and look forward to returning again soon. Sorry I didn't take pics I will next time

This was not as excellent of a stay as I was expecting. I am highly disappointed in this Marriott. The lobby was clean and well decorated. The employees were dismissive and did not have any idea what was going on. There was an argument between the front desk employee that a manager had to resolve. Last night, a family member went to the bar and was sitting at the bar for over an hour!! She came back and told me she was not served the entire time she was sitting there, though others were served around her. She tried to flag down the bartender and everything, who acknowledged she was there but just did not serve. She has her ID and was way over 21. Though this hotel's theme is contemporary I feel as though it should have functionality over looks. The sliding door to the bathroom does not have a lock on it. The sinks, which are seen on the website, are super high and a kid cannot reach. They are also very small, so it is hard to wash your hands and not touch the faucet and/or the bottom of the sink while washing them. Gross! I don't even have large hands! Our windows were not clean and had BUTT CHEEK prints on them!! They were definitely cheek prints and not anything else. So the windows were not clean either.
