Fantastic! Loving the seclusion. No phone. No wifi. Beautiful Skokomish River. Lots of trails to hike.

I love hitting this spot outside of the busy season. Had maybe 4 spots taken and was nice and quiet. Bathrooms are clean, camping spots well taken care of. Definitely a beautiful area to visit. Just know it can be impossible to find a spot on nice days or holidays. Those complaining about the park rangers, maybe you should follow the rules and you won't have any issues. I had a ticket once for leaving my campfire unattended but that's my own fault and I knew the risk. When you camp alone, there isn't anyone to watch the fire when I gotta take the dog for a stroll to find the perfect pooping spot.

Sites near the river are a bit more muddy after a rainy day. Plenty of space for up to three tents comfortably. The fireplace and vault bathrooms are available during colder months and were clean when we arrived.

Oh boy, this is our federal tax dollars at wrk? Not impressed. WA state parks are far superior to the place. Let's start with the rangers, one in particular who was nothing but rude on several topics. On day 2 he approached asking us if we've checked on our camp site slip saying in an irritated manner that we're not up to date. First how many people check daily on their board slip? We go and check, turns out he was looking at the wrong site number. Second we like to use a 15' cable to keep our golden retriever contained to our campsite and so that he doesn't wonder into neighboring sites. It may be the rules but we were berated about putting him on a max 6' leash, jeez I might as well hold onto his collar the whole time I guess. And what kind of wilderness trails don't allow dogs, I've never in encountered one before in all of WA. Let's talk about the camp sites, lots of tall old growth trees but zero privacy in pretty much any direction, and most are only big enough for tent camping only. The bathroom are half glorified honey buckets and the ones that have running water were gross and no lights. Yes the river and creeks are pristine albeit frigid cold and some of the views are majestic but so many other factors ruined the experience for us. We won't be going back.

When we were there a couple weeks ago it was full early Friday and close to full on Thursday.
There is no dump station but their are restrooms and community water spigets
Yes.
Yes
Partially paved. Gravel along the lake. My Taurus handled it just fine on Memorial Day.
Yes but bathrooms are closed right now, only the toilet pits are available (no electricity or running water).
They are closed right now due to people abusing the lake. It is first come first serve. If you are looking to get a site for the weekend it's best to show up Wednesday or early Thursday.
There is when the camp ground is open.
Yes
In the camp ground on leach only but they cannot go on the trails at all...
Cougars roam around
I was up on Mother's Day and it said opened mid June... The website might have more information...
Their website has info regarding campground dates as well as road reconstruction areas (near the campground) dates and times
No, at the pay board, it states a 7 day limit (but not sure if you can switch to another site afterwards)
No it's not that upscale there... and the great spots are gone 1st of course....
On Sunday, usually easy. Fri/Sat pretty iffy. If full go to Big Creek CG
Not sure what the startup time is. But the cutoff time is 9:00 p.m. so yes you can run one
Yes, according to the Olympic NP website.
