I moved into Lakecrest during the beginning of the covid pandemic though it was a contactless tour of the residence, it was very professional and courteous and very well to my liking, I am now going on my 3rd year here at Lakecrest it has been nothing but greatness from the staff and neighbors.

My daughter rented an apartment virtually from Wisconsin on May 20th. She was told she need to sign in order to secure the apartment for her arrival on June 4, once her 3 children finished school. I walked through the apartment on May 24th and it was disgustingly dirty. I told management that it was totally unacceptable because of how dirty it was, and they agreed to clean it again My daughter arrived after driving 16 hours on Saturday June 4th at 2:30 am. Her furniture had not been delivered as expected, so on Sunday she purchased air mattresses so that she and her three children could stay at the apartment. After putting her 4,6 and 8 year old children to bed, my daughter spent the night continuing to clean the dank smelling and unclean apartment; trying to make the best of it. She was mortified by the number and variety of bugs she was finding and she kept on trying to clean. She kept hearing a clicking noises(as she described it) Her sleeping daughter cried out from what my daughter thought was a bad dream. She flipped the light on to check on her daughter and there was literally moving roaches and bugs everywhere on the walls carpet and ceiling and even on her child’s face! The kids were terrorized, as was my daughter. She had the wherewithal to take video and multiple pictures of the incident. She got the kids out and went to a Hotel. She has called DEHEC and there is a case number. They told her that the apartment complex should walk through at night to observe the conditions that she was telling them occurred. The management at the complex totally gas-lighted my daughter and has accused HER of not being willing to work though their through horrid upkeep of the building. When she complained and said she couldn't live there, they told her she is 'willingly relinquishing her contract.' My daughter tried to explain that she wasn’t doing that but that she and her children are traumatized, and she couldn’t imagine making her children go back to that apartment. There was no acknowledgement or apology from management!
