Disappointed in the prices...but I will shop there again and continue to donate items.

I have previously donated many brand name clothes over the years. I stopped by to drop off a toy item. The male employee told me they weren’t accepting them at this time but they had a dumpster out back if I wanted to toss it in. I tossed it in. Female employee was sitting back there on break. She comes running and yells at me for dumping and she will prosecute. Yikes! I explained that I had permission. She said he was a volunteer and wasn’t in charge. Strange situation. I took my item and left. I’m feeling rather confused dealing with a confused staff.

Prices are outrageous! Good luck finding any close under $5.99. The store will also take Apple Pay one day then refuse it the next same goes for cash. Overall the store is dingy and poorly run. If you’re going to donate, there’s a 50-50 chance the person taking donations will huff and puff about having to take the donation and call you a rude name (this happened in 2021, but for all I know the man is still working there). If you want decently priced stuff and good service go to the family service store down town Hastings.

I hadn't been in this thrift store for a couple of years because the last time I was there, clothes were so expensive. I decided to give it another try last week to see if things had changed. They had not. And the prices were even higher than before. The clerk said they raised prices again, about 2 to 3 months ago. Women's shirts are between 6.99 and 9.99, for used clothing. Now, if an item looks new or is new I would pay higher for it, but many items clearly looked used for that price. So then I went to look at the home decor and kitchen items and those also were priced so high. I ended up buying a decorator pillow but that was it. Looks like it will be a few more years before I go there again. I can't recommend this store.
