Positive: The front desk clerk  was very courteous and helpful. I give her a definite 10. My room was clean with fresh towels, but it smelled of mold. I didn¿t have any more room below, but the pool was dirty and had mold around the edges of the pool. Negative: Very run down. The A/C in my assigned room was not working and  was nice enough to give me a new room. The hotel smells moldy. There is no A/C in the hallways. carpets are very old and dirty. Dining room menu consists of frozen food, no salads.

4/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND •Front desk attendant, Sametta, needs a refresher course in customer service. •Hot water in is turned on & off @ their leisure. Checking out on a Sunday and no hot water @ 9am because the maintenance man turned it off. •Most uncomfortable beds ever…sinking spots. •God forbid you need to shower & need a drying towel!!! Housekeeping removed towels from the room and did not replace. When asking for drying towels, we were offered hand towels. •Broken elevator…UGH!! •Locked out of room-key cards deactivated day before scheduled check out. Yeah, you should probably strongly consider NOT staying at this location.

I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to 601 spring street, for a wedding. It was also the recommended hotel for the wedding. Long story short, the heater/AC unit was not working in room 410. Additionally, the chair leather was worn out, the TV was not connected to the cable, and there were 3 patched holes in the wall. I requested a room change. The next available room was a king size accessibility room. It was a lot better but there was water stains on the wall (or was it mold)? The hotel phone in the room was not working, so I called. I was immediately put on hold for over 30 mins. I finally went downstairs and saw there was 1 person working at the desk. I explained the situation and she apologized as she was the only one working at that time. The only pro were the nice working staff and the location. The cleaners were engaging and asked if I needed anything. I do not recommend that you stay here.

Found bed bugs on our bed after coming back to our room (#422) from being out all day!! So disgusting!!! Our room also smelled like smoke, and the carpets were dirty. After I complained we were moved to room 400, which is the very last room that’s directly across from the train tracks!!! We could hear the train coming and going every two hours! The walls shook every time the train passed and we didn’t get any sleep!!! I would not recommend this hotel and I believe I deserve to be reimbursed for my stay for such a horrible experience. This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn hotel and it will be the last! Never again!!
