I was appalled to learn that Rockdale County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Tolbert has not yet been charged with cruelty to animals in connection to the horrific heat-related deaths of three dogs—Luke Cage, Storm, and LaLa—who were kept caged in a squalid shed in his backyard and the conditions for two surviving dogs who were found in filthy pens littered with moldy feces and without access to clean water. I urge you to take immediate action to ensure that the laws protecting animals in Georgia are upheld by filing felony cruelty-to-animals charges in this disturbing case as soon as possible. Thank you.

No accountability for one of their own whose negligence and lack of care caused the death of 3 dogs. Totally disgusting that this piece of trash continues to be a deputy and enforce laws for the rest of us. But you took away his K9 so I guess you do care about YOUR dog.

No accountability for their actions nor is there any actions taken to punish officers for their actions. If I could give it zero stars then I would. Let’s not forget about Deputy Eric Tolbert who let 3 dogs die from leaving them in a hot shed and threw them away and all he gets is suspended without pay and removed him from the K-9 unit. Makes you wonder how easy it really is to be a deputy and wonder why people don’t like the police. Thanks for letting trash protect and serve rockdale. Better off letting the gangs take over cause law enforcement out here is one big gang that intimidates and bullies for no reason but lack of intelligence or the fact they were probably bullied in school and need a power trip. Good luck to Rockdale.
