It was ok. A busy office that tried to enforce Covid rules. Although there was a patient who took off his facemask to talk on his smartphone. I did not enjoy the phlebotomist. She kept asking questions about my relationships and bragging on her husband. I thin was given the most painful stick ever by her, and no apology or soothing words during the blood draw when I quietly said "F--K" from the pain. I was kept waiting far too long in the outer office.

I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted the public to see this. I had a Kidney Stone. I had been out of town in Alabama when it was discovered. When I got to Atlanta, because I had not passed the stone I contacted Advanced Urology based on the referral from my primary care doctor. I went in and they took all of my information like they do and entered it into the computer. Before the doctor came in, they asked me to empty my bladder and then they did an ultra sound to see if my bladder had indeed emptied. The Ultra Sound probably took less that 60 seconds then they actually did it. The doctor then came in (nice doctor) and talked to me for maybe 8 - 10 minutes tops. They sent me home with some prescriptions to help me pass the stone which I did a few days later. I got the BILL! Holy Cow! The Bill for this visit was $616.12. I was expecting the Ultra Sound to be most of that Bill. The Ultra Sound was only $60. My insurance according to the bill paid them $290.08 and I had to pay the rest, which was $326.04. What did I pay for? The 8 minutes with the doctor. If healthcare was like everything else, they could not get away with these charges. Ridiculous!

My mother is a new patient at this facility. I was floored by the professionalism, kindness and patience with everyone. The front desk staff was dealing with a system outage and took time to inform and care for each patient as they waited. Dr. Funderburk is AMAZING! His knowledge and ability to communicate with his patients is something that's lost with many in healthcare. I know my.mother is in good care at this facility.

I left a urine specimen a week or so ago; thinking I have a UTI. No word from anybody. If I had waited for somebody to call with an RX I might be dead by now. And, to follow up I just now called them, holding for 10 minutes, finally being told every body's busy, they'll call me back. I said rather than phone call, just email me or text me. He says "we can't do that." Sloppy organization. I'm sure the two doctors there don't intend for it to work this way. If this is the best I can expect, I don'[t think I'll be seeing Advanced Urology again.
