Officer Velases has a fundamental lack of knowledge of the law. This is startling as he is not protecting citizens rights. Mr. Frank requested a woman who had been asked to leave and had returned on his property again to be trespassed. Officer Velases refused and was quite condescending stating Mr Frank for expecting the officer do his job. The Officers reasoning is that Panera bread had a sign stating “addition Panera Parking” with “a huge arrow” (what he wrote in the report). Anyone can write a sign calling my house a store that does not mean that people have a right to walk in my house. It is private property, the owner has every right to have a person they have asked to leave and has refused or returned to be trespassed. This officer has a fundamental lack of knowledge of the law. Worse he is so rude to people who actually know the law. He continued stating “it’s common sense.” Common sense says no one else can give people permission to use another property. If the police chief takes no action

Unfortunately I have to give them one star. As a DV victim I honestly feel like they don't care. Truly heartbroken on how they treat people who need help. I've called over a dozen times for a wellness check on my lil boy. After explaining to them that I haven't seen my son in a year. They know the history and still do nothing. They refuse to check on my son! They told me, they're not going to check on him even after I flew 3,000 miles to get here! How can a police department not care about the community who needs help. It's unfair. The lack of empathy is absolutely disgusting. The justice system has failed me and my child 100 percent. Not to mention very rude and appear to be racist, judgmental customer service. Until it's their families or children they will never understand the pain! Especially during this pandemic. Everyone is not privileged to have an expensive lawyer! What about the victims? What about the less fortunate? More resources are needed for DV victims. Lastly I wouldn't recommend calling the DV hotline; you will not get an answer, they don't care! Prayers to any other mothers or fathers experiencing this. Biggest nightmare of my entire life. Gwinnett County Police do your job! What's the purpose of calling the police if they're not going to do anything.

Just called and spoke to a girl who answered the phone. She was not very friendly or professional and sounds like she hates her job. She was unable to help me for my reason I called in and when I told her I would wait till I got the letter from them, she just hung up on me. Very rude to hang up on people.

On Jan 1, a car I had just purchased broke down near an intersection on Old Peachtree. Officer Lazalde pulled up to check on us. He was very professional, personable, and helpful. He helped us move the car to the side, called the towing service, and stayed with us until the tow arrived. Thank you to Officer Lazalde and all the other police & firemen that keep our section of the county safe!!

It depends on what you are needing the background check for. If someone is requiring you to get one- you would need to ask them.
Several nights of too loud music way after 10:00 PM. Location of sound seems to be west of 539 Brookview Trail, Lawrenceville, GA.
Monday thru Friday 8-4
That would be a civil court issue, in addition he can’t force you to move out without a 30 day eviction , if he tries to call the police and they’ll explain it to him
