Excellent customer service experience with Gwinnett County's Clerk of Court offices. The office is open until 5p but passport services stop at 4p. My pictures will help prepare you for your visit! Although they only accept applications for new passports, they reviewed our renewal applications and advised us on correcting errors that could have delayed the processing of our applications if they hadn't reviewed them. They can take your photo and their cost is less than the drug stores. It was also super convenient to be able to get an original birth certificate accross the hall since I accidentally left it at home.

If your hours are posted online as 8-5, a person arriving at 4:30 should expect to be let in. Irresponsible and inconsiderate.

Probate court is so un organized. I moved from Cherokee county to Gwinnett and im attempting to transfer my cwl. It expired during the covid shutdown with an extension to July. I call and tell them this situation , im advised to come in person to complete the transfer / renewal, no appointment need. It will be treated as a renewal $31, proof of address, license , dl 1st advisement I get there, explain my situation and im told to file through mail, (WHAT?) I cant walk in for a renewal. Nobody is in line behind me it would have been easy to do right then but no. New applicants appoinments, renewals preferrably mail !! So they hand me paperwork with same instructions on what to do. Or they say i can go to Cherokee and renew it there, <(BUT IM A GWINNETT RESIDENT SO HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?)> 2nd advisement I go to ups to get everything shipped called to verify where notary will sign, advised them it was from cherokee county and transferring / renewing it to Gwinnett, again she says fine on the phone. I spend the money sending documents first class. 3rd advisement Now I get a letter returning documents saying i need to come in person cause im transferring from Cherokee and make an appointment which is backed up past august. 4th advisement SMH waist of money, gas, and time this is ridiculous. How is it three different people working in the same office have three different instructions on this procedure.

We would like to know that too! Regular business days and zero holidays.
$25 for the first certified copy then $5 per person for each additional copy
They are a public office and open to the public, but you'll need to go on their website and make an appointment for whatever service you need.
I would think you would go to building code and zoning
$25 first one each -additional copy $5
You have to go pick up a request form from the Gwinnett County Justice Center and turn it in at the Probate Court
Standard copyright filing fee is $35.
