I've heard that this is a real program that really help people like my self no place to stay or go we get on this websites that do nothing especially when it is already hard out here during this pandemic I'm from Murfreesboro Tennessee where they say there's no more funding but it's too many people living on the streets but the only way I'm going to be able to get some help us to move to a different city and that's crazy

Questions & Answers

Can you get rent and electric assistance from thrm

Alexandrea Williamd | Oct 22, 2018
NeedLink Nashville | Oct 22, 2018

Thanks for helping each other, friends! If your bill is not under $200, you can still apply, but need to show the social worker your other resources for paying the part that NeedLink can't, so we know you will be able to stay housed or connected. You can receive help up to one time in a 12-month period, and your rent must be income-based, because IBR tenants have demonstrated need and will have fewer options than others if evicted. Each week, about 1/3 of applicants are approved for assistance, but you are welcome to reapply if you are not selected. It's never personal - just a lack of available funding that requires us to make hard choices each week.

Unfortunely I dont have a ID but i have a work ID. will this work?

Donald White | Oct 22, 2019
Angelinne Palmer | Oct 22, 2019

Mr.White, I'm afraid not because it has to be an Government Issuing ID or Driving License and Passport or Student ID or etc but they might take it but you would have to go there to find out because they stay busy during the day to answer calls just to give you heads up... Their Business Hours are Mon-Wed from 8A-2P.... Blessings😊😊

can you get help if you bill is not past due

Tameika Gist | Oct 7, 2022
NeedLink Nashville | Oct 7, 2022

Hi Tameika! Because there is so much need in our community and limited funding, we are unfortunately only able to assist with past due bills. We will be happy to try to help if your bill goes past due!

How do I get the application

Semiko Brewster | Aug 22, 2022
NeedLink Nashville | Aug 22, 2022

Our online application is open on our website every Monday at 9AM and shuts down when we reach the maximum number of applications that can be processed within the week. Unfortunately, our online application has already reached capacity for the week, but we would be happy to take your application in person. We are in the office from 9 AM - 2 PM every Monday and Tuesday and are available to meet with you!
