I love eating here, it's always a treat. I love their flavorful roast chicken, and the sides are very nice. Although the Cheeros we're very bland, only get them if you like bread with suger on it.

If i can give this place a zero i would (Pollo Loco in Mesa Riverview in Mesa, Az) i arrived at 8:22 PM on 07/03 and was waiting for someone to help me only to be told they didnt have any chicken for the meals only for the bowls? What kinda place is called Pollo loco and have no chicken for your order. And the guy wasn’t even apologetic which is the worse thing he didnt offer anything else which is ridiculous definitely wont be coming back to this restaurant where they dont have what there main dish should be so disappointing

A little disappointed 😔! Not as tasty 👅 as my memory serves me! Chicken was just “Okay” and lacked the seasoning, flavor, and juiciness that it once had, say about 10 years ago. The chili 🌶 and salsas were still fairy good flavored and spicy. However the Pico de Gallo and the Coleslaw were not fresh at all, probably now out of a bag or a canned product. And the rice was over cooked as well. Too bad, I really had fond memories of getting some El Loco Pollo!! Well at least my pics 👀 good (lol)!

I usually love El Pollo Loco. I frequently get the chicken nachos and think they are delicious and a good size portion for a pretty low price. However, this past week, went to El Pollo specifically to try the queso birria tacos that I had seen advertised and I have to say that I couldn't have been more disappointed! First of all I thought they were very over priced!! 2 tacos for $10. The tacos were not very big and the amount of beef & cheese that were in them was pathetic! There was probably about 3 strands of beef and so little cheese that you could hardly tell there was even any in it. The taco shell itself was the only thing that I can say was good. It was crispy & tasty. Also tried the queso birria quesadilla (my husband and I ordered the taco/quesadilla and split them so we could try both). Also thought $10 was kind of pricy for what you got. Again, very little meat & cheese. Will say I thought it was a little better than the tacos, but overall still very disappointed! It was so unfulfilling & small portions that we ended up going to another restaurant afterwards to get some queso dip & chips. I will for sure be back to El Pollo because overall think it's a great restaurant but highly recommend against the queso birria options!!

They have the dining room open but very limited seating. Masks need to be worn inside. Drive-thru and to go is open as well. They don't have the sauce and toppings bar open any longer.
The crazy chicken is on riverview Mesa
