This is the end of the US! As far East as you can go. The lighthouse itself isn't open to visitors, but it does have a small gift shop and information center in the old keeper's quarters. The parking is ample. We found a spot for our 30' motorhome. The stairs to the beach are well maintained and we enjoyed the rocky shore.

Easternmost point in the United States was checked of the list today for a birthday adventure! It was rainy and foggy but that didn't dampen our spirits... just our clothes! Paid the $3/per person entry fee at the drop box and made our way with the furbaby along the Coast Guard Trail. Great view points! The trail loops back to the parking lot where we let the furbaby take a rest while we took a brief trip down the hill to the lighthouse. Very beautiful... even with rain and fog! Not populated today... one other car load of visitors while we were there!

We came in late April. Took one of the walking paths to the right of the building to some stairs so we could explore down below. Continued on the path for a bit but not the end due to time constraints. Beautiful views !

If you're going to visit Acadia, you should make the additional 2 hour journey to reach this lesser known beauty. Even for a rainy, cloudy, and windy day I sincerely enjoyed the trip. I didn't even know there was a trail next to the lighthouse and the view was surreal. The waves crashed against the rocks, and on certain points of the trail I was sprayed by ocean water. I think this just added to the cool experience of the trail. Most of the trail is mud, but there are plenty of benches and well kept walkways for safety.

Yes, but MUST be on a leash 6 feet or less at all times. All messes must be cleaned up also.
Yes, no problem. You park at the top of the small hill and just walk in. It is lovely.
Quoddy Head State Park is a day-use park and camping is not permitted.
I don't believe this location has overnight facilities.
There is parking but no camping..
