This is the worst experience I ever accounted. I hired the first attorney after a week I was informed the attorney has left the law firm and they tried to offer me a different attorney. So I hired the new attorney and here we are a month later that attorney also left the law firm. Not only that in less than a month they spent $2250 of my trainer supposedly. The only thing that was completed in the last 3 weeks was the filling of my case. How that cost $2250 idk.

Like other, more recent reviewers, I thought I liked this firm at first but was ultimately hurt by their neglect and poor communications. They were more of a detriment than a help. Shame on them!

Extremely disappointed. I started my child custody case with Jason Carpenter Law. I paid a $4500 retainer. Which was really hard for me and my family. I am an average working mother, trying to raise 3 kids the best I can. I wasn’t properly served paperwork by my ex so I had to scramble to come up with this money so I would have representation for a mediation meeting. But I figured it was worth it to have good attorney. My ex and I ended up finalizing our custody agreement in mediation in March. Afterwards, my attorney emailed me stating opposing counsel was no longer representing him. I later contacted my attorney with questions/concerns and had a phone conversation. The resolution of the conversation was she had to contact his attorney. When I questioned the email from her saying he did not have representation, she stated she wasn’t really sure what was going on and would get back to me. I never heard back about my questions or about his representation. Per our conversation, she was supposed to request a modification of the order. I paid for this conversation that went absolutely no where. I reached out again some time later via email for an urgent concern about the upcoming weekend visit with the kids father. The response I got was from my attorneys paralegal stating she will review my concerns with my attorney and get back to me. I didn’t hear from my attorney until days later. A hour or so before my ex was pick up the kids for the weekend. She pretty much shot down everything I had brought up and said there wasn’t really anything we could do at the time. Again, paying out of my retainer for nothing. End of June comes, I get an email from another attorney in the firm stating my attorney was out on medical leave and he would be taking over for her. He even offered a free 15 minute consult to see if I had questions. Great! I wasn’t getting anywhere with the other attorney but was chipping away at my retainer. I felt like we had a good phone conversation that resulted again in him needing to reach out to opposing counsel to go over my concerns. He said he would get back to me in a day or two. I never heard from him again. End of July, I received a generic email stating Jason Carpenter Law is now Kelli Statt Law and I didn’t need to do anything but they were making clients aware. August 1st, I receive an email from another attorneys paralegal with an updated email address. I simply stated, this is not my attorney may I please have his email instead. No response from her. August 2nd I get another email from someone else in the office stating there is a conflict of interest, they are dropping me as a client and refunding the remainder of my retainer, roughly $1750. I was and am still so confused. I immediately called the office. The secretary tried to get in contact with the women who emailed me but was unsuccessful. She said she would have her call me back. I then responded to the email questioning what this meant and to please call me to help me understand. She fairly quickly emailed (not called, as I requested) me back saying she cannot disclose the conflict of interest but it’s best for everyone. Now, I guess I have to represent myself? I don’t know. I definitely cannot afford to pay a whole new retainer to another firm. I deeply regret choosing this law firm.

Low success rate. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Worked with Joseph D’Annuzio and he took advantage of me being active military. I had emailed him multiple times after he ignored my first two emails that were sent week apart from each other. Ignored my calls to let him know my ex violated the court order and he still charged me for all the emails and calls that he never responded to. He finally emailed me back when I asked if I had his permission to speak with Navy legal. All he cares about is getting paid. Go with Daley Zucker or Purdy Law Office! My mother and I had them and they did a great job. They went out of there way to fix up Mr. D’Annuzio mess and took on my case and fought for what I deserved. I didn’t get anywhere with Jason R Carpenter (Statt Law). They took forever to get paperwork processed and Daley Zucker and Purdy Law Office stay on top of things and get things moving along.
