Good space. Playground has age appropriate for multiple age levels including littles. Has bathrooms. Outdoor picnic area is covered and is a good spot for a party. Baseball fields are in good condition and maintained. Overall a nice park for all age levels. Playground is far from the picnic area would be only issue.

Nice dog park with water stations for the dogs.

The park its self is always open, I'm not sure about the building however
The rec park is NOT Federal land it is owned by the town. Still relic hunting is still NOT allowed. Doubt you would find anything there anyway as moat of the battles were fought outside of town.
The path goes all the way around the Rec Park. It's probably about 1 mile long.
Saw some young men doing it a couple of years ago, but I don't know if they had permission. You should contact the director first.
