This is a nice mom and pop family restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is good... and reasonably priced. I had the deep fried cod with sweet potato fries. Hubby had the lemon pepper baked cod and coleslaw. Their coleslaw rivals the big boys... yummy! So stop in, relax, and enjoy an old fashioned home cooked meal. (And don't forget to tip your server!)

This is one of our go-to stops between Pittsburgh & Erie. The portions are large, but that's not what makes a place good to me. They have really good, home made, hot to your table food. Any meal, any time of the day, is going to be good. This is a comfort food type of place with a nod to Erie (Walleye), a nice selection of in-house pies, a variety of choices for each meal plus specials.

Carry out is permitted. See if they are offering carry out. Brown's has the very best food.
You have to ask for it plus costs a smidge extra. It is not a high priority yet, so not on menu. This was about a month ago as I was traveling across country. But I have seen people order their monstrous sandwiches without bread and people said was just as great if not better. Cannot hurt to ask always because good eateries will try to please regular customers.
