Hi – good question. Yes we do hand dry clean them. We are somewhat limited to how aggressively we can clean them so we always suggest that you have them cleaned before they are very soiled. Once they get very or badly soiled the cleaning process will not be effective. Yes they are. We recommend them, particularly in high traffic areas. Rug pads hold rugs in place, help reduce wear, and make rugs more comfortable to walk on. We sell a variety of rug pads that can be cut to custom-fit your rug. When your rug and new padding is delivered back to you we will spread out the padding and put the rug properly on top of the pad. We make it really easy.
