They just started to take payment again because last year during the pandemic it was free just had to be a Nassau resident this year its $10 card and 15 cash... as far as picnic you have to call and see how they price it sorry..

Yes . Anyone can use the beach. You don't have to be living in Nassau County to use the North Hempstead Beach & Town Park .There is an entry fee of $10.00 or $15.00 if you come in by car. I've always driven but there there is only one entrance for all visitors (walking, biking, driving)and that's where the fee is charged so I assume everyone pays. I'm Ok with that. This location, upon entry the driver must show his/her DRIVERS LICENSE with a current TONH residence-they did not request ID from any other person in the vehicle. Hope that provides clarity 😀

Yep, North Hempstead residents only at this time. If up for a longer trip try Sunken Meadow Park. Same North Shore calm water but it's a NY state park.

There open for tonh residents only ( they checking ids). And bbq are closed off. Only the beach is open..playground is closed as well

It depends. If you want to get the pavilion that is there then yes, you must reserve it in advance. There are a few other parts that require permits. The rest of the park is first come first serve.
