One word yummy! Stopped by last week and I had the vegan chocolate fudge brownie and it was delicious! Christina was so helpful and kind, she let me sample it first and immediately I knew I had to get it:) would defos recommend

Tried their new pumpkin flavor and the royal wedding cake flavor and both were pretty good. They weren't too sweet or anything and I really enjoyed them. I just wish there was an even smaller size option though. $6.25 isn't a bad price for the big scoop that they give you, but I found it difficult to finish more than half of mine because of how rich and creamy it is (maybe that's just me though). Also, something to note is that the royal wedding cake flavor has a pretty pronounced lemon flavor. It'll taste more like a creamy lemon ice cream with some lemon cake pieces which I kinda didn't expect. I thought it would be more pronounced vanilla flavor with lemon cake pieces, but it mostly just tasted like lemon to me. It was still good though - just not what I expected. Would definitely recommend asking the workers about unfamiliar flavors or looking them up on the Van Leeuwen website if you need to. Overall, it was pretty good ice cream and I would come here again, but would probably try a more familiar flavor that I typically enjoy like cookies & cream. Also, be prepared to have to read the menu from afar because that thing is pretty high up.

This is my absolute favorite vegan ice cream. Visited location last night for first time and Christina is a gem of an employee! I typically would drive into NY just for the ice cream. Now I can enjoy from home state and am thrilled. Parking is free for first 30 min and ice cream is right in food court. So parking shouldn’t be a hassel. Thanks christina for going above and beyond for me. You gained a loyal customer

Really unique and delicious flavors! I got honeycomb and my partner got blueberry crumble. Their ice cream is so creamy. Ample seating, but we decided to walk around the mall to compensate for the calories lol. Price is high - was $7 for each of us for one scoop. Haagen Daz is right next to it for a little lower, but doesn’t compare in flavor. Overall, would go again, but probably only after pay day lol.

Eggs. Plenty of ’em. Turns out, when you use twice as many egg yolks as the standard ice cream you have to call it French Ice Cream. Fine by us. Because whether it’s using more eggs or having to legally change our name, we’ll do anything to make the best ice cream on Earth.
As opposed to some oat milk ice creams that use diglycerides and guar gum, we believe that if it’s not in your vocabulary, it shouldn’t be in your ice cream. That’s why our vegan oat milk ice cream is made with only quality ingredients using only simple recipes. And made without any junk. No sirree. Not around here.

Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill started Van Leeuwen Ice Cream out of a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008, with the mission to make good ice cream, from good ingredients, that makes you feel good. Learn more about our story and mission on our website.
Not exactly, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was founded in NYC by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen (American with a Dutch Dad) and Laura O’Neill (an Australian living in America)
Since we are in America “Van (like the car) Lou (like the name) Inn (like the hotel).” If we were in the Netherlands “Von (the Von Trapp Family) Lei (Like the Hawaiian flower necklace) Vin (Like French for wine).”
