Museum was great. Guides were great. But beware of gift shop. Bummed out about gift shop. Bought my wife a pint glass. Lady said wash in cold water a printing is somewhat delicate. My wash started to wash it in cold water and the color on the grass started peeling. I can't believe they are selling that junk.

It was a surprise that they take you on a guided tour of the ship ERIE. From bow to stern and below deck from the crew quarters to the galley. The staff and Crew were very friendly, and gladly explained what they were working on during the ships preparation for winter storage.

We really enjoyed our visit. My son loved it! All of the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. The guides really helped make the whole experience. And the tour of the Niagara was a great unique experience. I definitely recommend making a stop here if you are in the area.

That would be a good question for their curator, probably have a better chance for real answer by calling or emailing them, make sure you have pictures on hand or in your phone.

We do have a wheelchair for use at the museum. When you arrive, simply ask whomever is in the gift shop and they will he able to get it for you!
They are closed Easter Sunday through Wednesday & will reopen Thursday.
