Nice campground and reasonably priced. I would recommend an evening walk to the hotel to catch the sunset. First come, first served sites are given out by rangers no self registration. Before 7:30 am there is usually a line of cars and at 7:30 am the ranger starts assigning the open sites. This continues until about 10:30 because 10 am is the last time to extend for another day. We were there around 5 am on a Tuesday and we’re second in line. By 7:30 am 25 cars were in line. About 5 got a campsite right away. It varies a lot day to day though.

Amazing campground with an increduble location. Far away from the astonishing but crowded “going to thesun” road, Many Glacier is the perfect spot to experiment wilderness and wonderful treks (like Iceberg Lake, Swiftcurrent Creek...) It’s 30 minutes away from Babb, the nearest town, but next to the camping there is the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn where one eat, buy food and camping gear. There are showers available for the campground guests. Not far away there is the Many Glacier Hotel, an authentic gem worth visiting. No network in the hold area. We saw mooses within the campground twice in four days. Bears are around, but we never saw one in our treks neither within the campground. Rangers and campground hosts are superhelpful. We recommend to go to the Rangers’ Talks (one can always learn something new and have a nice time!)

One of our favorite campgrounds. Just minutes away form so many beautiful hikes, with no shortage of wildlife. We had access to showers and laundry facilities, and a restaurant, and gift shop with fresh coffee within walking distance. We will be back.

This campground situated us perfectly to explore the northeastern section of GNP. There are many trailheads around here leading to stunning views of glacial lakes. If you are looking for a strenuous hike, the nearby Grinnell Glacier hike is well worth the struggle up, and it offers beautiful panoramas the whole way. As for the campsites themselves, they are equipped with the usual picnic table and fire ring. If you're camping in the off season like we did, make sure to bring in your own firewood. It was hard to find around the area. We arrived around 5 or 6 o'clock on Tuesday, September 26th, and there were still many spots open. The area is wooded, which gives you a decent amount of privacy. The bathrooms at this time of year were primitive; vault toilets that were kept pretty clean. It would've been nice to have another vault though- there were lines at the one! They also cut off the water pumps in the primitive camp season, so make sure to bring in drinking water. Absolutely stay here if you get the chance!

Yes, the showers are operating
I suggest contacting the parks directly regarding this and not asking on Google maps. You could end up receiving incorrect answers from us, and it's not guaranteed that the parks will answer on here. So, to be safe, I would just call them up to find out for sure.
Tent spots are first come first serve. No guarantee but you can order a site on line.
There are first come first serve sites available. For sure get there early though. Like 6am to get one of the earlier spots. We got there at 6:15ish on June 29th and we were the 5th car there. They came around 7am and gave available spots to the first 4. Then we waited around 20 minutes for the next batch of campsites.
Yes, as long as there is not a burn ban in effect. That info will be posted at the ranger stations.
