Was very nice camp ground. Sites were setup well. We camped in a rooftop tent. The site we had was okay for this but we could have picked much better sites. Our site was perfect for a regular tent camper. The bathrooms were clean and had flush toilets and running sink water. No showers. The view was very nice too. Had panoramic view of the mountains. Each site seemed to have good spacing and small trees or shrubs to keep you with a little privacy. I would recommend this campground. Sorry but all of my photos are on my Sony camera. Will upload later.

Amazing. Truly a breathtaking place to sleep! We were at site 76 and it had many elk and moose around.

Loved this campground! I was a little concerned about black bears, I’m from Texas and we don’t have them, but never saw any. There are lots of bear-proof food storage lockers as well as trash cans/recycling bins around with bear safety tips posted. The grounds are amazing with views of the snow capped mountains and near the Colorado River. Plenty of points of interest nearby. You’ll have to drive into Grand Lake for supplies such as firewood, ice and water but it’s a short, and beautiful, drive. I saw plenty of wildlife including moose, elk, chipmunks, deer and antelope. Heard a wild turkey early in the morning. There are no showers at this campground but I brought body wipes so I was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, the campground was quiet and the park rangers held educational programs which were interesting. If you’re thinking about camping in the Rockies, this is a great place to do it!

Beautiful spot and great access to clean restrooms. Make sure you are aware of the overnight temperatures in late May, and pack accordingly. We had just enough to make it through the night with us (got down to 35 F o_O). Underestimated that... lol. Also they have bear lockers nearby, camp fire areas and picnic tables. You it's pet friendly, but must be on a leash at all times. We will come back again, with a new reservation of course.

A mountain pine beetle infestation caused most of the trees to be removed, so there is no shade at campsites.
Hello Miss Eryn, I spent three nights at Timber Creek last week. There are no on-site showers. However, you can shower at one of the motels in Grand Lake, about 20 minutes away, for $7.
Yes, they allow pets. You must keep pet on leash. Warning, elk roam into campground.
Not at Timber creek.
