We previously booked and prepaid for this motel for an upcoming trip to KC. Our flights were cancelled by the airlines the day we were to take off, we ended up not being able to go. I called this hotel asking for a refund or at least a credit as we couldn't stay there by no fault of our own. When I contacted the manager, he was extremely rude and stated he didn't have to refund anything. While this may be true, At least be respectful toward your customers. I've contacted Choice Hotels asking for assistance.

I was informed at check in that the elevator was out of order. The main part of our trip was for the kids to swim. Shortly after being in the pool we all started to have a reaction to the high levels of mixed chlorine. We all had burning eyes. Runny nose and sneezing. One of the kids broke out in a rash. We asked at the front desk for towels after swimming. The desk clerk was rude and wouldn’t let us take the towels to the room. We reported the pool and hot tub to the health inspector and got the reports of the toxic levels of chemicals used in the pool and hot tub. Overall horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend this motel. Total waste of money

Older rooms wiped, not cleaned. pillows left a lot to be desired. Just an overnighter. Sleep function on TV didn't work. Had to juggle plugs for microwave, fridge and coffee maker. None of the doors I used had closures strong enough to latch the door. Not ouside doors for security or inside doors for fire protection. Breakfast lobby cold without heat. Breakfast offered not meat. No eggs or sausage. No yogurt. No gravy for the biscuits. Apple juice was very watery. Not a high end hotel. Shop vac stored in breakfast area? Staff was friendly. I stayed where others wanted to stay. Cheaper than other hotels but, not a value for the price.

Room was not clean. Toenail clippings and snacks from previous tenant was on the side of the bed. Hair from people other than us was on the floor in the corners of the bathroom. Desperately needs updating. Pool area was not clean. They literally could’ve taken a vacuum to the vents and it could make a world of difference. Don’t stay here
