Positive: Staff at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good, and staff working the breakfast was very attentive. Room was clean for the most part - except for stains on the chair that had not been taken care of. This hotel ok for price. Negative: Lighting in the room was very dim - barely bright enough to read by. Hot tub in pool area was extremely small, and was being used by unattended children against posted rules. Children were very loud/rowdy and no hotel staff was present to enforce rules.

First time stay at this La Quinta as the one we have stayed at in Overland Park has now closed for some reason. Very happy with new choice and as long we can travel we will stay at this one now. Pet friendly as well. Room was very nice and clean. Check in was the only issue I had as I had to call for the front desk attendant. The wait was short, but there was another person waiting as well. Very helpful and friendly and even recommended a nice place to eat as we were leaving for dinner. Again, nice location for eating and access to Interstate 35.

Student Connection

If you like dogs you will enjoy this hotel. They must allow dogs in their rooms and so many people were walking dogs around. I got to pet so many dogs. Other than that it is an okay hotel. The price is good. The rooms were clean. There are little things here and there that are a bit disordered. The pool is good sized for small kids. The fitness room is pretty good. Could use a bench of some kind though. The staff was so friendly and helpful. That was probably the highlight. We will stay there again.

This hotel is pretty run down. There was mold on the ceiling in the pool area and the pool was freezing. The room smelled very strong of pet urine. Would not recommend. I was expecting better due to having 4 star reviews.
