Comfort Inn & Suites Shawnee North near I-40

My girlfriend lives in Tennessee, where she is a tenured college professor and is very close to being fully vested in her school's pension plan. I live in Oklahoma, where I am a single father and self employed carpenter with work booked out for the next two to three years (seriously) which means that neither one of us is in a position to pull up stakes and relocate half way across the country (regardless of how much we may desire to do so). So, what does any of that have to do with Comfort Inn? I'll explain: Making a long distance relationship work is difficult. Being a single dad OR in construction would be full time, mix the two.. well, I try not to think about the hours, BUT, my lady is a college professor, which means she gets Holliday's, spring break AND summer's off, so, she takes her vacations in Shawnee Oklahoma. And while it's not EXACTLY Disney World, it does have one thing that she always wants to see: me. So why Comfort Inn? Because it's both 20 minutes from my work AND 20 minutes from my house. She checks in for a week that she has off anyway and I get a little stay-cation without having to put my clients behind schedule and Grandma (who lives with me anyway) gets a few nights to watch movies with my girls while I get the piece of mind of being just down the road if anything needs my attention. And best of all: my lady and I get a whole week of date nights for about the same price as a weekend someplace with sights we wouldn't be interested in seeing anyway. Obviously, it's not a resort destination, but, there IS a pool, free breakfast And the staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. Plus it has the best feature of all: both of us in the same room, which is all I really want anyway.

I work there and I did not like how they treated the employees. They do not care about your safety. They are willing to be a older lady in a room that they had just bed bug bombed. And it had bed bugs. Every other week they had bed bugs in a different room.would not ever recommend for anyone to stay there.

Worst stay of my life! I was in the 3rd floor facing a parking lot with their lights blaring all night! It literally looked like daytime outside and the see through curtains definitely didn’t help

Friendly staff at check in, gave all info for what they offer. Free breakfast but it's very scaled back due to covid. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, good tv. Snack and ice down the hallway. Easy access to the interstate and food and gas. Well lit parking. Would stay again.
