I was very impressed with the Swift Petworth during my recent apartment home search. After being referred by a colleague, I decided to stop in and check out what it had to offer. I was immediately pleased with the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of the building, and this was just at the lobby/reception area. I was connected with Anitra, who is such a pleasant individual and was thorough and patient in explaining the options to me and allowing me to ask questions. She walked me through several units and made it feel like more than a typical business transaction, which can be off-putting and make you feel like property management companies only want to get you in the door and then stop caring about you when you sign the lease. She took the time to show me around the entire property and explain things, big and small, so I understood what I was likely to get at the Swift. I have to say, this was one of the few leasing experiences where I felt like the agent specifically wanted to understand my needs and actively tried to match me up with what was best for me rather than trying to sell me on just anything that was available. So, I highly recommend working w/Anitra, and I hope the Swift team knows how helpful she is to prospective residents. Additionally, I had several helpful interactions with Marcus, who is one of the leasing consultants at the Swift. Very proactive, engaging, and helpful as well! Even the senior property manager greeted me while I was there, giving me the sense that the whole leasing team tries to actively connect with residents and provide high-quality customer service and address all their concerns, which is rare in many buildings these days. I don't think you could go wrong with this leasing team. While I ultimately ended up choosing a property closer to my work, the Swift was one of my top choices. The building is VERY clean and well-maintained, with fantastic amenities worth paying for, and it is in a great location (Safeway on the ground level, close to Metro rail and bus service, and one stop away from Columbia Heights on the train, with a ton of other retail and food options). I highly recommend taking a look at the Swift if you are on the hunt for a great apartment in DC.

Marcus Johnson and the management team are 2nd to none. The facilities are clean and managed around the clock (24/7). Maintenance trouble tickets are addressed within 24 hours and the building Security system and front desk support allows me and my kids to rest easy as there is never a question as to who is in the building. I used the club room daily as a home office and the rooftop access, gas grills, and interior court yard are nice touch’s to come home to. Don’t pass The Swift Petworth without taking a second look.
