There are only two really reliable photo stores in the Washington area. One is District Camera and the other is Pro Photo. Both have great service by employees who know their job and photography. Pro Photo is the smaller of the two, but it is the only place in Washington where you can get cameras repaired. Take your camera to District Photo for repair, and they will send it to Pro Photo. Parking is iffy in this part of town, but the store is an easy walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro station.

Hello Al, It is very likely we can fix the switch. You will have to bring it in for examination and we will give you a repair estimate. There is a $25 bench fee applied to your repair if you approve it. Most likely we can tell you before you even get that far but gotta see the camera first. Thanks!

We do buy and sell used Minolta equipment. Bring it in and we can evaluate it.
