I had surgery performed by one of the surgeons at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Make sure you get the doctor to go over all of the potential complications, and have the doctor write them on the Informed Consent Form. If you have any questions and they don't get answered in writing, DO NOT go through with it. Many months later and after a lot of pain and discomfort. I sent a list of questions to the doctor and instead of responding to me in writing, he called me, which at the time I thought was nice of him, but now I understand why he did so. He told me I had nothing to worry and that he had never had an issue with complications and that his success rate was 100%. Unfortunately, I became his statistic and not only I have to deal with the pain he has caused me, but I have to continue to pay bills associated with figuring out how to correct the problem. Had I known that the pain that I am having now was a possibility of the procedure I would not have gone through with it. I am now in worse shape than I was before I went to the Eye Wilmer Institute. Do your research and do not trust anyone's word.

It used to be personalized top notch care ... now its a factory and teaching based ideology for eye care, Shame shame shame on Wilmer Eye Institute. I went to make appointment today as I noticed my eyes sight changing and some kind of episode yesterday with flashing lights and I couldn't read letters. 1st available appointment with the self-appointed gods of eye care was Mar 30 2018. Where are the days of Dr. Arnold Patz vision? When I was 6 years old Dr. Arnold Patz, one of the pioneers of laser surgery ... got out of bed at 11pm and rushed to Sinai hospital in Baltimore, MD and SAVED my sight in my right eye .. I had accidentally stuck a scissors in my eye,. Nowadays you have to wait months to see mediocrity.

the good news is that we do not have any New Patient forms that you must complete unless you are seeing Dr. Carey. There will be 2 required signatures on the Annual Outpatient Agreement Form and The Covid Exposure Risk Form that you can complete at the front desk during registration. please make sure to bring your Photo ID and your insurance cards. Have you tried Suburban hospital or Georgetown? Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to complete this test in our clinic in Bethesda.
HI Bill, There is not a direct route, but you can take the 203 bus towards Rockville from the Georgia Ave Park and Ride and walk to the Medical Center Metro Station. From there you would take the red line to the Bethesda stop and we are diagonally across the street from the station. Hope this helps! Thanks!
