It is very difficult to find a memory care unit that is better than Harmony in any state that I have lived in. My wife has been there for over two years and is happy while I am completely satisfied that she is receiving the best care available. I am a retired doctor and have been impressed with the nursing staff and health services available as they inevitably become necessary. Alzheimer's or Dementia for other grammarians is a difficult health problem to manage. I Most Highly recommend Harmony at Martinsburg as they have eared my complete satisfaction.

Although my parents decided to stay put where they were (rather than move to Harmony), I can't say enough good things about Harmony and Amanda. I have toured many different facilities in several states over the past five years and Harmony of Martinsburg rates about the highest when it comes to assisted living. What makes this even more unique is what I consider an in-between option for folks who want to stay pretty independent, don't yet need assisted living services, but want the peace of mind or security of a staff of health professionals. This is a facility where residents can age in place, as their needs change. I have found this to be extremely rare; in the vast majority of independent/assisted living facilities, when needs change, the resident must move to another building or wing. This location is beautiful, clean and bright. There are absolutely NO odors. The apartments are nicely appointed with modern kitchenettes and bathrooms. The food is very good and high quality (not institutional). Both the staff and residents are extremely friendly. Amanda, the sales director, is genuine, caring and incredibly helpful. Based on several visits on different days and at different times, this a fantastic place to live a fulfilling senior life.

We put our mother (who has dementia) in Harmony Martinsburg for one month’s respite care earlier this year. Mom loved it! The front office, medical, and care-giving staff were all wonderful, helpful, patient, and polite. They cared for her very well and the daily activities really stimulated her so much that she came home a happier person. My mother is a retired chef and she loved the food—that is saying a lot! The design of the facility is thoughtful and beneficial to the residents. Hallways and social spaces are located and designed strategically for constant staff observation of the residents. This allowed mom to have her independence and we were relieved that she would be well cared for—and mom thought she was in a fancy, wonderful hotel with a great restaurant!
