This opulent place hosted an antique evaluation event. I'd never been to one before and really enjoyed it. I took books and found their value. Thank you, VAOR, for this time to find out more about your facility as well.

Very nice cottages and apartments. People friendly. Clean. Away from everything and very quiet.

For my in-laws, it was over $200,000 just to buy in. Then you have the monthly fee of over $2000. The fee, though, includes all utilities, access to all fitness amenities, a strong support community, and a portion of it is for meals. So other than renter's insurance for personal belongings, there is literally no other expense. You really need to call the facility for accurate numbers, though. These numbers have probably changed considerably since 2013.
Living in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) is a way to free yourself from the chores and responsibilities of home ownership so you can spend more time enjoying the things you love to do. It’s also a way to give your family the reassurance that you’re enjoying life, surrounded by friends and always close to any care, should you need it. Be proactive in planning for your future and avoid making a decision under duress should a health crisis strike. It also protects your assets and reinforces your financial security.
The monthly fee for The Village at Orchard Ridge’s independent living includes all of the maintenance in your home, all utilities (excluding telephone), basic cable television, bi-weekly housekeeping, a flexible dining plan with a 90-day roll-over period, and access to the community’s services, such as the fitness center, local transportation, planned activities, library, chapel and more. The apartments also include a storage area conveniently located on each floor of the building for you to securely store personal items.
With traditional continuing care retirement communities, residents move as their needs change – from independent living, to assisted living, to nursing care. With The Village at Orchard Ridge, our approach is to provide access to health services in your home, including wellness support, companion care and assistive services. Our goal is to help you stay as independent as long as possible in your apartment or cottage. We also have memory support and skilled nursing neighborhoods with private suites for those who need or might choose a higher level of care outside of their home.
The Village at Orchard Ridge is a fee-for-service community giving you lifetime priority access to all of the services and amenities on campus. Our fee-for-service program lets you pay for health care services only as needed. Independent living residents pay a one-time entrance fee when moving into the community and a monthly fee.
Yes, we do allow dogs and cats in both our apartment homes and cottage homes. Ask for a copy of our pet policy and guidelines for more information.
As The Village at Orchard Ridge is your own home, you are welcome to have overnight guests. They may either stay with you in your apartment or cottage or they may reserve our fully-furnished guest suite through our Concierge Service for a reasonable nightly rate.
Come take a look at the vibrant community life anytime! Our marketing and sales team will be happy to give you a personal tour or welcome you to attend an upcoming event. Call 540-431-2800 today to schedule an appointment.
