Guys, does this so called embassy have someone in charge of management and or supervising? Because looking at the reviews, it reflects the struggles that people (customers) continue to experience any time it comes to DRC passport and or Vissa application. So wake up and push the process. Talk to the customer. It's okay if it will take time to get the document or what not, but just communicate.

I wish I Could give zero star, Shame on you. People with no respect, zero communication with your customer. How come you confirmed an appointment and yet on your website you said that your office will be close that day. Un pays vraiment corrompus from top to bottom.

What a radical change, in the right direction! Back in 2017, it took me a month... yes, you heard it..., a month to get someone just pickup the phone at this embassy. I needed to get a document notarized and sent to Congo. I mailed them everything, fee payment included. Despite finally finding someone over the phone, the person would tell me they had not seen the document. I insisted that the post office reported the document as "delivered", and I gave them the name of the embassy employer who signed the receipt of my mail (I paid for that option at USPS). They finally admitted to having received it, but never sent it back about two weeks later (in addition to the one month in limbo), until I decided to travel to Congo instead, as the deadline for the document approached so badly. The document landed my mail box in US two weeks into my stay in Kinshasa... This time, however, all is very different. (1) I was able to talk to embassy over the phone twice, and there was a person to pickup the phone at the first call, each time. (2) I mailed the embassy a travel document application, which they received on Friday. I expected the document be sent to me within a maximum 1 week (based on the estimate received over the phone). Big surprise, they signed it and mailed the same day... and I got the document in mail by Sunday morning!!! I command you for this change. Keep up the good work!

The embassy for the Democratic Republic of Congo in Washington is full of thieves, dishonest, evil and competent people who are supposed to serve the Congolese people, but instead they disrespect and steal from the Congolese people. I’m beyond flabbergasted and disgusted! They will steal the $100 you pay for your passport, then proceed to send your passport documents to Congo and your passport will not be able to be created because there’s no money! These thieves need to be fired IMMEDIATELY! Enough is enough!!!!!

How long it takes for a passport application?
Beacon, mayflower, just write zip 20036.
Renew passport of which country ?? If it is from the DRC it depends. Today in 2 - 5 days
https://www.ambardcusa.org All informations will be found in that website. You do not need an appointment for Visas.
U may need to talk to your lawyer
go to the embassy and tell them you have a ten year old child you want to register with a visa. It's a long process, so you have to be patient. Before this child comes to you, they will give him a test to make sure there was no danger. it is a procedure not to transmit diseases.
1.The price is on the embassy website. It's the same price with a new passport. Cad. There is no difference between renewing and getting a passport for the first time. 2. How long? One month max (procedures included) if you are in the USA. 3. Procedure to do: go yourself to Washington DC. With your old passport ((and green card if possible); No cash payment. Only check or money order. The details are clear on the embassy website.
Bjr, Which country are you a citizen of? If you are a citizen of Congo, you do not need a visa to visit your country. If you have already changed your nationality, please go to the Embassy's website and apply for the visa by downloading the form associated with your expectations, then send this form by email to the Embassy of Congo. N.B. if you contact the embassy by email, you risk going through eternity without any response. By telephone, you have a 60% chance of reaching them after several times, insisting between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., in my experience. Thank you and good luck to you🙂
Just send an email and call them. It take about 2 weeks to get a response. I don't work for the embassy.
For the visa you mean.if you go to.their website follow the instruction I think it's drc embassy but double check
Submit your application and they'll process it and decide based upon your request. But you better go there by yourself
