No, you do not.
I don't have any kids but there were 1 or 2 in the group we were in, but they were a bit older (8~10). There is a lot of interactive experiences throughout the whole musuem like learning to write with a quill and ink, a black powder demonstration, some demonstrations of working machinery, etc. Children 5 and under are free, and each experience is optional. If you have a child who has issues with loud noises I suggest bringing some earphones for the black powder demonstration and machinery demonstrations. Hope this helps!

It is a huge piece of land that belongs to the DuPont's. There is so much to see and it's more than just one area. It's very educational if you enjoy history
