This has great views of NYC skyline and Brooklyn. It is right next to the Port Liberty Cruise terminal.

The memorial is a way back drive, for me it was worth it. Knowing it is made out of the Twin Towers steel And seeing where it sits, a person can see where the Towers where from the New Jersey side. Visiting it after the Towers memorial is heartfelt also!

Why has the American people not heard of the teardrop memorial in Bayonne New Jersey

Sandy Jamieson | Oct 20, 2019
William Clauser | Oct 20, 2019

It's a shame more people don't know about it. It's a beautiful monument set in a beautiful location. It is really hard to find maybe that's why. Both times that I have been there it was empty.

Tear Drop Memorial) is a 10–story sculpture by Zurab Tsereteli that was given to the United States as an official gift of the Russian government as a memorial to the victims of the September 11 attacks in 2001 (26 of whom were Russian[1]) and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.[2] It stands at the end of the former Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey. Groundbreaking was done on September 16, 2005, in a ceremony attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin,[3] and was dedicated on September 11, 2006, in a ceremony attended by former U.S. President Bill Clinton.[2][4] From wikipedia page about teardrop monument.

It appears they did their best to hide it from everyone..not a single sign advertising it or road sign directing people in..if you don't know specifically where it is it's almost impossible to find

If you view the Tear Drop Memorial from the right angle, it frames the location in Manhattan where the old World Trade Towers (2) were. You can see Manhattan (as well as the Statue of Liberty) from the Tear Drop. There are many subtle details about the sculpture.

If you pay for a taxi or a uber they will cost a lot. I suggest taking the path train from 33rd st to Hoboken then the light rail to 34th st in Bayonne. Then you would have to get a quick lyft or uber.
