It's a shame more people don't know about it. It's a beautiful monument set in a beautiful location. It is really hard to find maybe that's why. Both times that I have been there it was empty.
I wasn't raised in Hudson County but yeah I'm a Jersey Boy. Wasn't born here but definitely raised in Jersey. One thing that I discovered while doing my LYFT is discovering this kind of places in Jersey. As a LYFT driver I get to discover places in Jersey that I have never been around and this is one of the places I'm amazed and lucky to have founded. Love this place TEAR MEMORIAL - BAYONNE NJ 🇺🇲
Good question. Probably because Russia is not normally associated with positive thoughts.
It has to do with the location. Getting there, you have only one sign board. People get confused on their way in, thinking that the cruise terminal is the end. It's located next to the cruise terminal. So yes, location and sign boards have to do a lot with the ignorance it receives.
The Teardrop Memorial is a beautiful gift from our friends from Russia. I only learned about it when I looked up things that were about 9/11. We do have huge communities of people who are from Russia here in New Jersey. Thank you, Russia.
Believe me, I promote it enough. You usually see the most people down there when a ship is in, and for the summer we have 3 ships that come in.
There are a lot of memorials in the area. This is just one of many. Your question sounds so wrong and condescending. I don't know about other memorials in other states and countries, but I'll be happy to do my own research.
Because Russia gave it to us as a give. No other cities wanted the statue so the city Bayonne took it and put it in a out of the way park.
Location definitely has something to do with it
As far as I was aware everyone knew about the teardrop memorial in Bayonne New Jersey
