I wish I could give 0 stars. One of the worst places to live in the city. Arrogant and worst building management including leasing company folks. If you can afford to live in the city, do yourself a favor and please find somewhere else. Avoid this building at any cost. The units have not been repaired or fixed for over a decade. Some of the most frequent common problems include no AC/Heat, no water, water leaks, bad flooring, noise from old AC/heating units, faulty appliances (dishwasher, cooking range, w/d) and list goes on. Did I mention that time to time elevators randomly stop working for hours or even days?

TL;DR: Cassa has been a horrific experience to-date. I have yet to hear back from the Rezi team and the Cassa management team led by Sol, but I want to share my experience so far. The apartment charge you without agreement. During move out, we were charged nearly $4,000 of a total deposit of $6,400. We are waiting for a line-by-line breakdown of this exorbitant charge. but beware - you could be duped by this. The elevator is always broken. Not only does the key not work, one elevator was broken for over 2 months, and I have personally had to help people who were stuck in the elevator by calling the New York Fire Department to rescue. The front-deck lady was stuck in between 2 floors in the elevator, and had to be pulled out. This does not include a long list of other problems, including fruit-flies, water outage, uncleaned trash in the corridor.

This review is pre-Covid for Cassa Extended Stay Suites however the staff and amenities are the same as hotel. Room had many many things broken or missing such as toilet paper dispenser hanging off wall, some outlets not working, TV didn’t work, wood floor some nails popping up etc etc etc When complaining time and time again for all of the things to be fixed and finding new ones every day it turned out the President of TempApts needed to get involved, to which I learned that there were many sub companies that each was responsible for something else and therefore despite Frank being the President was advised that Temp Apts whom organized my stay was not able to hold anyone apparently accountable for consistent issues. Do not stay here

Do not live in the residences here!!!! The apartment layout was nice, but the building management was so poor that they completely ruined our unit. We experienced a water leak, and they didn't turn off the water for several days. Then, instead of replacing the damaged and moldy floorboards, they just nailed them back in. The floorboards started coming up again and the mold spread, so we had to move out because it was so hazardous (the NYC Department of Housing issued a ton of violations as well). When we tried to break the lease, the owner had the nerve to tell us that the floor was completely fixed. As you can see by the attached pictures, the floor was far from fixed. Believe it or not, this was only one of a multitude of issues we encountered while living there. There was a building-wide fruitfly infestation that was not resolved for months. The electricity went out randomly several times. There was no AC or heat for extended periods of time. The water from our kitchen faucet sometimes came out brown. We repeatedly called maintenance to fix these issues, and they either never fixed these issues or took weeks. Additionally, all the amenities including the gym and the terrace are closed. The main entrance is chained shut, and you have to call the front desk (and pray they're at the desk) for them to open the service door for you.
